Michael Augustino, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., has been an established board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist in the Broward and Dade areas for over 25 years. He received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and later completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Augustino has worked in various group practices throughout his career but feels that many have become so impersonal, which is why he decided to open Gentle Gynecology.

 

When asked what he does to improve the patient experience, Dr. Augustino responded with, “I feel as a dedicated OB/GYN practitioner, the relationship between patient and physician can be better established with personal care. That is of the utmost importance in regards to healthcare.” Patients can feel confident visiting Dr. Augustino, who has been awarded Best OB/GYN of Weston 10 years in a row!

In addition to practicing OB/GYN, Dr. Augustino has served the community as a voluntary professor and educator, lecturing engaged couples as they prepare for marriage. He has also served on the executive board of the hospital at which he currently practices. He currently is on the Peer Review Committee and the Multidiscipline Committee at Memorial Hospital West.

Dr. Augustino has taken a special interest the past 12 years in counseling and treating women, men & transgender persons with bio-identical hormone pellet therapy. His practice was one of the first in South Florida to offer this type of treatment. After extensive research, elaborate training, and special certification, Dr. Augustino determined these natural hormone pellet replacements were safer, healthier, and had far fewer side effects than synthetic hormones, and have delivered better results. He offers his individualized treatment to women and men.

Dr. Augustino is the proud father of three adult boys. When he’s not with patients, he enjoys exercising, hiking, traveling, and spending time with his family.
